Easter Weekend Review
Here's our Easter weekend re-cap! It was filled with Strawberries, Flowers, Bread and Jam, and all the delicious items needed for your Easter table. The weather was perfect, breezy and cool, to celebrate Spring and our Savior!!
We had many "You-Pickers" for Strawberries starting Thursday and we picked and sold over 50 gallons in store. It's such a joy to see families, of all shapes and sizes, come enjoy our patch and take their delicious efforts home. And all our in store customers can buy berries by the quart or by the gallon. The sweet taste and bright red color is perfect for making Jam. We've jarred and sold 50, 8 oz jams over the last 2 weeks. We made 30 more today that are sure to sell before the weekend is out!
A sweet and talented friend, Tori Brinson, brought in 16 beautiful arrangements for sale, to top off any Easter gathering. I love her bright color palette, and her addition of different greenery gives her pieces a unique and elegant look!
Our Homemade Sourdough on the weekends is a customer favorite!! We bake it fresh Thursday-Saturday and it goes quickly. I adore the pink ribbons!!
I learned this weekend that The Farmer not only can farm, but makes a delicious homemade Strawberry Ice Cream...Who knew?!? He did a fantastic job and it was a freebie to our customers. I'm sure hoping these berries stick around for a few more weeks!
Shep's mini-tractor in the store is a favorite to all the kids that visit! Its so fun to see their faces light up just to sit on it... We definitely enjoy having a kid-friendly environment. Our sand-pile is also a hit and we are hoping to build a swing set in the coming weeks!
I took this pic on Sunday evening...we were thankful to have the day off to celebrate Jesus and spend time together. After our Sunday best and eating lunch at my parents' in town, we headed back home to lay plastic for planting. This is my fave pic of the day. This is my children's world...tractors, dirt, riding and playing and working too!! This is when they are happiest...melts my heart. And just so you know, little Shep is eating his chocolate bunny from his Easter Basket!!
it was a great weekend, and many thanks to all out visitors!! I hope you each had a Beautiful and touching Easter as well!!
