Weekend Review

We had a fabulous and busy weekend at the Market. Spring is definitely in full force and we are Loving it!! One thing we want to do at George's is open up our space to the community. We've hosted dinners and animals and AG Credit Farmers. This weekend, we hosted the Jonquil Garden Club, a professional Storyteller and a Yoga class! And they were all a lot of fun!!

While hosting the Jonquil Garden Club Friday morning, we used our extra space to help set up a Brunch. George's provided Fresh Sourdough Bread and Homemade Strawberry Jam along with a Quinoa Salad. Ladies from the Garden Club brought a few other items and helped set up the table-scape!

Friday evening we hosted Carol Cain, a professional Story-teller and served hot-dogs, chips and drinks on our lawn. It was pic-nic style and some guests brought in their own food. It was a pleasant and interactive evening, the children definitely enjoyed it and I'm sure the adults did too! Farmer even cut a watermelon at the end for guests to Enjoy!!

Saturday morning, we hosted 11 women for a Yoga class on our back lawn. The class was taught by an instructor from town Rebecca Rice! It was a breezy, cool morning, perfect for relaxation and restorative care. This just warmed my heart seeing these strong ladies use our space for some TLC for their souls and bodies. Following the 60 minute class, I prepared a healthy brunch. On the menu: Quinoa Salad, Sausage and Spinach Quiche, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, sliced fruit, and Mimosas!! it was lovely!! Really hoping to do this one again before the summer heat creeps in!

And yes, even the Market cat had to get in on the Yoga Action!! "Namaste..." -Willie Nelson.

One of my fave things about George's is seeing old friends pop in!! An old college friend brought her two darling little girls while traveling up to the lake for the weekend!! They both sported their new George's tees and of course, hung out with the famous Willie Nelson!! it was a great weekend!! Thank you to all our visitors, you keep us going!!
